THOMAS CHRISTIANSEN: I AM CONFIDENT

Head coach on Sunday’s match.

Leeds United head coach Thomas Christiansen spoke exclusively to LUTV ahead of Sunday’s Sky Bet Championship clash with Middlesbrough.

Following the international break, the Whites take on Boro in front of the Sky Sports cameras at Elland Road, looking to get back to winning ways.

The two teams are in a contrast of form in the league, Middlesbrough have won their last three matches, whilst Leeds have lost their last three, however Christiansen believes his side can turn the form table on its head.

“We are feeling good, we are confident and we expect to have a good result,” said Christiansen.

“We have had time to change this situation, we cannot continue suffering these defeats, we need to come back and take points now.

“It has been positive over the international break, we have worked well physically and specifically on Sunday’s match.

“I feel we have done some good things and have been unlucky in some situations during this run, but also we have made many mistakes and of course there are many things to correct.

“This is what we have worked on over these past two weeks and this has to be seen on the pitch now.

“With the bad results we have had, this is the moment to come out of that by putting in a good performance and picking up points.

“The players are always positive, they haven’t lost faith in the team, coach or the club and they are all looking forward to Sunday’s very important game.

“I am confident when the match comes comes, we want to play a good game in front of our fans.”
