SHAUGHNESSY EXTENDS CONTRACT

Leeds defender extends contract until 2021

Leeds United are delighted to announce that Conor Shaughnessy has committed his long term future to the club after penning a new four year contract.

The deal will keep Shaughnessy at Elland Road until 2021.

The versatile defender, who can also operate in the centre of midfield, joined the Academy in September last year. After impressing at U23 level he quickly made the step up to training with the first team this summer.

Shaughnessy's debut for The Whites came in the opening day win at Bolton and he has gone on to feature five times already during the 2017/18 campaign.

Conor becomes the latest member of Thomas Christiansen's regular first team squad to sign a new deal this year following Ronaldo Vieira, Gaetano Berardi, Liam Cooper, Eunan O'Kane, Stuart Dallas and Kalvin Phillips.
