Winger on Birmingham win.
Leeds United winger Stuart Dallas spoke exclusively to LUTV following Tuesday’s 2-0 Sky Bet Championship victory over Birmingham City.
The Whites recorded a fourth straight victory and clean sheet, in front of over 31,000 at Elland Road.
Dallas wrapped up the win in the 92nd minute and the Northern Ireland international was delighted with another three points.
He said: “We set out to win the game against Birmingham and we knew it was going to be difficult.
“In the second half, Birmingham had a lot of possession, but didn’t really hurt us, again it was another great defensive display and thankfully we were able to get the second goal right at the end.
“We work very hard at defending, right from the front and I think that has shown in every game so far.
“We’ve recorded six clean sheets on the bounce now and in this league that is a difficult thing to achieve.
“We are not just defending though, we are playing good football and winning games, we have to take it one game at a time though, it was a big result on Tuesday, but we must just take it one game at a time.
“To get over 30,000 on any day of the week is unbelievable, but to get that on a wet Tuesday night is unbelievable.
“As players we really appreciate the support and we can only repay them with performances on the pitch, whilst we didn’t play as well as we could on Tuesday, we really dig deep when things get tough and see results out.
“There is a great buzz about the place, the players feel that and hopefully it can continue, but that is down to the performances we put down on the pitch.
“We have to keep our feet on the ground though, we haven’t achieved anything yet, but we are heading in the right direction.”
