LEEDS UNITED LADIES TO KICK-OFF WITH BOLTON CLASH

Whites ready for first match.

Leeds United Ladies will face Bolton Wanderers in their first League game of the season this Sunday at the Kensite Stadium (2:00pm).

As the team prepare for their first game, first team interim manager Bob Wilkinson said: “The strength of the team has improved with every training session and with each pre-season friendly game we have played.

“The intensity of training has increased each week so the squad are prepared, ready and looking forward to the season beginning and are relishing the challenges ahead.

“It is fair to say that there have been changes during the season break, with a significant one being my appointment, but the squad have welcomed me and embraced the ethos and the work ethic which I strive to instil.”

First team player Helen Wagstaff will be wearing the captain’s armband with Jodie Hunter being vice captain.

Bob added: “I feel we are well prepared to start our new Premier League North One campaign, but the hard work must continue right through the season.

“We will still look to add quality in areas which we need it and continue to push ourselves in training but in the meantime, let’s get Bolton out of the way first”.
