WIGAN ATHLETIC: TRAVEL INFORMATION

WIGAN ATHLETIC: TRAVEL INFORMATION

Rail works scheduled on Sunday.

Leeds United have been contacted by the British Transport Police, with planned rail works taking place at Manchester Victoria Station and the Todmorden area this Sunday.

This will impact supporters planning to travel to Sunday’s game with Wigan Athletic at the DW Stadium (12:00pm) by rail.

We have been informed the available trains to Wigan are:

Leeds 06:40 change at Manchester Piccadilly, arrive Wigan 09:12

Leeds 07:40 change at Manchester Piccadilly, arrive Wigan 10:11

Leeds 09:16 change at Manchester Piccadilly, arrive Wigan 10:48

Leeds 10:10 change at Manchester Piccadilly, arrive Wigan 11:49

The first two journeys will take 2 ½ hours, with the second two services 1 ½ hours.

The units going from Manchester Piccadilly to Wigan are on an hourly service and are only two cars sets. This will severely limit the number of travelling fans and their capacity to reach the ground in time for the early kick-off.

Leeds United would like to wish all travelling supporters a safe trip to Wigan on Sunday.
