PONTUS JANSSON: I BELIEVE

Defender still optimistic.

Leeds United defender Pontus Jansson has refused to give up on the club obtaining Sky Bet Championship Play-Off spot this season.

The Whites entertain Norwich City at Elland Road in the division and will be hoping for victory, coupled with dropped points for Fulham, Sheffield Wednesday and Reading, which would ensure the Play-Offs will not be decided until the final day of the season.

Elland Road is sold out for Saturday’s fixture and the defender has called upon the crowd to play their role as the Whites look to record victories in their final two matches.

“We have put ourselves in a difficult position, but we have two games left which we want to win and put pressure on the other teams,” said Jansson.

“If we win our two games, then for sure I believe something will happen in the Play-Off race.

“We are all focused on Saturday’s game against Norwich City, we want to put pressure on them from the first minute and go out and win the game.

“I hope the fans who come and support us on Saturday have the same mentality as ours, we need them from the first minute to the last minute to try and beat Norwich.

“I saw some videos of Huddersfield Town and Fulham fans signing ‘Leeds had f***** it up’, but let them sing that and have that focus, our focus is to put pressure on them by winning our two games and hopefully getting into the Play-Offs.

“Anybody can beat anybody in this division, Sheffield Wednesday, Fulham and Reading all have tough games left, if we win our two games I am convinced something will happen, for sure.

“We have nothing to lose now, we can enjoy it and together with the supporters I think it is going to be a good Saturday.
