EFL: DUO IN CHAMPIONSHIP TEAM OF THE SEASON
Leeds pair selected.
Leeds United duo Chris Wood and Pontus Jansson have been selected in the EFL Sky Bet Championship team of the season.
Striker Wood has been in fine form for the Whites this season and tops the goal-scoring charts in the division, hitting his 23rd and 24th goals in the 2-0 victory over Brighton & Hove Albion on Saturday.
Centre-back Jansson joined United initially on loan from Italian outfit Torino back in August and has formed a great partnership with Kyle Bartley in the heart of the Whites defence.
Both players have been instrumental in helping Leeds march up the table, to our current position of fourth spot.
Brighton players dominate the team with four selections, with two from Newcastle United and Huddersfield Town, along with Scott Malone of Fulham.
The team is part of the EFL Awards of 2017 and is based on votes submitted by a regional media representative from each of the 72 clubs, who nominated their top 11 players and a manager.
