GARRY MONK: WE CAN BEAT ANYBODY IN THIS LEAGUE

Head coach on Brighton & Hove Albion.

Leeds United head coach Garry Monk says his side “can beat anybody in this league” they reach their maximum levels.

The Whites welcome second placed Brighton & Hove Albion to Elland Road on Saturday in the Sky Bet Championship, with Leeds looking to extend their unbeaten run to seven matches.

Brighton have lost less than anybody in the division this season and United’s head coach is expecting a tricky test.

“We have had a good week, we are all very focused,” said Monk.

“The preparation has been the same, there has been a good level attitude with what has been done and we are all looking forward to the game.

“We have no fresh injury worries, the only new absentee is Luke Ayling who will be missing with suspension, along with Kalvin Phillips.  Apart from Lewie Coyle and Tyler Denton, the rest are fully fit.

“One of the biggest strengths we have is the mentality of the group and we are going to need that between now and the end of the season.

“Each game is different and each opponent is very different, Brighton are one of the best teams in the league, they have had a fantastic season and are doing great.

“They will be a very difficult opposition for us, but we have a lot of confidence, we are six games unbeaten and each point is vital at this stage.

“We know that when we are at our very best and we put our best football on the pitch, that we can beat anybody in this league.

“On Saturday we will have to be at our best, we are playing against an exceptional side, which has developed over a long period and we are under no illusions how tough the game will be.
