Hot prospect pens deal at Elland Road.
Leeds United are today pleased to announce that Mallik Wilks has signed professional terms with the Club.
The powerful striker has been ever present for United’s Under-18s and Under-23s this season, making a combined total of 16 appearances.
Wilks netted a brace against Hull City in the FA Youth Cup for the Whites, in an impressive display under the spotlight, back at the beginning of December.
His form earned him a call up to the first team squad just a week later, where he was named on the bench, by head coach Garry Monk, for United’s Sky Bet Championship fixture with Reading at Elland Road.
Wilks, who turned 18 two days after the Reading game, has penned a deal which will see him remain at Elland Road until at least the end of 2017/18 season.
He follows in the footsteps of recent Academy graduates Lewie Coyle, Tyler Denton and Kalvin Phillips who have all gone on to breakthrough into the first team.
Everyone at Leeds United would like to congratulate Mallik on his achievement.
