CHARLIE TAYLOR: SATURDAY IS ANOTHER HUGE GAME

Full-back on Brentford and season so far.

Leeds United defender Charlie Taylor is hoping the Whites can make it a third win at Elland Road on the spin on Saturday.

Garry Monk’s side entertain Brentford at the weekend, looking to ensure United remain in the Play-Offs come Christmas Day.

Taylor is pleased with the way the campaign has gone so far and is optimistic about a successful festive period.

“If we can get six points from our games against Reading and Brentford, it will be massive and really put us in the mix for the Play-Offs,” said Taylor.

“All the teams won around us won in midweek, so Saturday is another huge and important game again and we will be doing all we can to get three points.

“You want to win your home games, especially with the support we have, the fans were very happy in midweek and hopefully it will be the same again on Saturday, in our last game before Christmas.

“We have had a lot of personnel out recently with injuries, but people have stepped up into the side and done brilliantly.

“We are a young side all over really, the likes of Ronaldo Vieira are doing great in midfield and it is pleasing that we are picking up the results.

“With Chris Wood up front we have a proven goal-scorer, hopefully his injury isn’t too bad because he is an important player for us.

“The Championship is a really strong physical league, you come up against really tough opponents on Saturday’s and Tuesday’s throughout the season.

“We have never been this high up in the league since I have been here, it is hugely satisfying, long may it continue and hopefully we can keep climbing up the table."
