CHARLIE TAYLOR: HOPEFULLY WE CAN BUILD ON THE RESULTS

Full-back pleased with run.

Charlie Taylor spoke exclusively to leedsunited.com about the current good form of the club.

Leeds picked up three victories last week, climbing up the Championship table and reaching the quarter final of the EFL Cup.

The 23-year-old is pleased with the way United are grinding out victories at all costs and how the fans are getting behind the team.

“Last Saturday was by no means our best performance of the season, but, and the gaffer reiterated it, the most important thing was the win,” said Taylor.

“It has taken us closer to the play-offs and after a tough week the most important thing was to get the three points, which we managed to do.

“There is a lot more stability around the club now and I think this is the highest we have been in the league since I made my debut.

“There is a lot of positivity around the place at the minute and hopefully we can use that to really push towards the play-offs.

“Elland Road is bouncing at the moment, the ticket sales for Newcastle United are great and if we can get up towards the top of the table and get it sold out every week, it will be fantastic.

“We want to get the stadium rocking, make it a fortress and make it really difficult for when teams come here.”

The Whites head to Norwich City this weekend who Garry Monk’s side knocked out of the EFL Cup on penalties last month.

Taylor is hoping United can make it three league wins in a row, with another victory over the Canaries, this time at Carrow Road.

“Hopefully we can build on the results from last week, we are all looking forward to a very tough trip at Norwich on Saturday.

“Norwich will be looking to bounce back after what happened to them last weekend, so they will be up for it.

“It will be a very tough game for us, they have some top class players for this division and facing them away from home is never going to be easy.

“It is going to be really tough, but after the week we had last week and the run we are on, there is nothing but confidence in the camp and we are looking forward to the challenge.”
