Leeds United striker Chris Wood believes everything is clicking at the club.

The Whites recorded victory away at Wolves last Saturday and backed that up in midweek by overcoming Norwich to reach the quarter final of the EFL Cup.

Wood believes all of the elements are now starting to come through within the squad and has called for consistency.

He said: “We have a lot of character in this dressing room and the team and we have to show that every week.

“Every side wanting to do well in competitions and in the league needs that and things are going well at the moment.

“We have strived for consistency this season, it was always going to be a slow start with the changes and the new players needing time to gel, but it is coming together now.

“We need to draw a line under Tuesday and go again, we are back to the league now and that is where our focus lies.

“Burton have done really well, they will be looking to get one over on us on Saturday.

“They had a great result against Birmingham City last week, it is going to be very tough, so it is really important to go into the game with the correct mind-set.”

Wood also called on the fans to play their part as United look to extend their unbeaten run on home soil to seven games.

“It is huge when you play in front of a big crowd, it makes it so much better,” Wood said.

“It is lovely walking out in front of the supporters, we get nearly 30,000 at league matches and if that keeps on growing it will be unbelievable.

“Everybody knows Elland Road is a very difficult to come and play if everybody is behind the team.

“I have played at Elland Road as an away player and it is really tough when you have the crowd supporting Leeds like they do.

“It adds an extra element, we are on a nice run at home and we want to keep that going, the fans have a huge part to play in that as well.
