NORWICH CITY: MONK AIMING TO PROGRESS

United boss looking for victory.

Leeds United head coach Garry Monk is hoping his side can keep up their good run of form at Elland Road.

United entertain Norwich City in the EFL Cup on Tuesday evening, with a quarter final place at stake.

Monk insists his side will be doing everything they can to advance in the competition.

“At Elland Road we are unbeaten in five games and we want to keep that run going,” said Monk.

“We have done well in the EFL Cup games that we have played this season and tomorrow is another chance for us to progress.

“Tomorrow’s crowd will be over double compared to the last round against Blackburn Rovers and that gives us an extra incentive to go out there and do well for our fans.

“I’m sure it will be a great atmosphere, Norwich are bringing a big support and we will go out there to put a performance on for our fans and give them something to shout about.”

Monk stated there will be some changes to his side from the weekend’s victory at Wolves, whilst he is expecting a difficult tie with the strength and depth at the disposal of Norwich.

He added: “Pablo Hernandez has a good chance of being involved, but the game may come too soon for Stuart Dallas, we are hopeful that he will be available at the weekend.

“Norwich have a strong team no matter who they pick and have a very good squad.

“They have kept the majority of the squad who came down from the Premier League and added quality to it as well.

“They have a lot of high profile players with experience, so it will be a tough test for us, but we need to concentrate on ourselves as we have been doing.

“We need to go out there, give 100% and try and put our football on the pitch and that is what we will be focusing on, on Tuesday night.”
