LOAN MOVE FOR UNITED YOUNGSTER

Redfearn on Coyle loan…

United’s Academy manager and head of coaching Neil Redfearn says that Lewie Coyle’s loan move to Harrogate Town will do him the world of good.

The first year professional signed a one-month loan deal with the Conference North side last week and Redfearn says the defender will come back a more experienced player.

“It’s only for a month but he has gone into a good standard of football in the Conference North,” said Redfearn. “The Conference has got better I have to say, it is getting closer to the Football League, particularly the Conference National.

“It will be quite physical for him but technically and tactically they have come on.

“It won’t be too dissimilar to what he is used to. It will do him the world of good.

“He is in a different environment and we’ll get chance to watch him over the month. Then he’ll come back to us with experience under his belt.”

Should the right opportunity come up for other Academy players Redfearn would be open for them to gain the right experience.

“We’ll see what comes up and what the experiences can be,” added Neil. “But we are mindful that they are coming along well as a group anyway in the Under-21 league.

“Sometimes it does them good to go out for different reasons and get different experiences.

“If the right set of experiences come up we’ll let him go out.”
