Eunan O'Kane joins on a two-year deal from Bournemouth...
We are delighted to announce the signing of Republic of Ireland international midfielder Eunan O’Kane for an undisclosed fee from AFC Bournemouth.
O’Kane, who is currently away on international duty with the Irish squad ahead of their forthcoming World Cup 2018 qualifying campaign, has penned a two-year deal at Elland Road to become our 11th signing of the summer.
The 26-year-old, who made 16 Premier League appearances last season, spent time in Everton’s Academy as a youngster before beginning his professional career with Northern Irish outfit Coleraine.
O’Kane was born in Northern Ireland and represented their youth teams before opting to play for the Republic of Ireland at senior international level.
He made his name in England during a two-year stint with Torquay United and was subsequently snapped up by then League One side Bournemouth in 2012, going on to make 115 appearances and helping the Cherries achieve top-flight promotion.
O’Kane will link up with his new United team-mates at Thorp Arch next week upon his return from international duty.
