AJOSE HEADS BACK TO CREWE

Forward moves out on loan for the season...

United forward Nicky Ajose has rejoined Crewe Alexandra on loan for the remainder of the 2014/15 season.

Ajose spent the final weeks of 2014 at the League One outfit after joining them on an emergency loan deal on November 26.

Now, following a successful loan spell, he will return to Gresty Road until the end of the campaign.

During his initial loan spell he made five starts and netted three times, including a double in a 2-1 away win at Oldham Athletic on Boxing Day.

Ajose, a summer signing from Peterborough United, signed a three-year deal at Elland Road in August but has since found first-team opportunities limited.

Following his switch to West Yorkshire, the 23-year-old has featured just four times in all competitions and has not been involved since David Hockaday’s departure at the end of August.

He made his debut in the opening day defeat to Millwall and his last appearance for the club to date came as a second-half substitute in August's home loss to Brighton.
