KILLOCK MAKES LOAN MOVE

Youngster joins Halifax for remainder of season…

United defender Ross Killock has completed a loan move to Conference Premier side Halifax Town for the remainder of the 2014/15 season.

The young defender has joined the Shaymen on a youth loan, meaning he can return to Thorp Arch to take part in United's Under-21 matches if required.

Killock, who has enjoyed loan spells with Alfreton and Chester in recent seasons, now joins the Halifax and could be included in their squad this weekend when they entertain Eastleigh at the Shay.

Ross was part of the club’s summer pre-season training camp in Italy but has yet to feature for the senior side this season. He was named amongst the substitutes during United’s two opening games of the season at Millwall and at home to Accrington Stanley. He was more recently an unused substitute at Sunderland on January 4 in the FA Cup.

Halifax are currently 8th in the Conference Premier and sit just two points away from the Play-Off places.

United head coach Neil Redfearn said: “Ross is one for the future and we have high hopes for him at the club.

“Halifax are having a good season and Ross will be going there to play a good standard of football, it will be another good experience for him.”
