BELLUSCI FACES TWO-MATCH BAN

BELLUSCI FACES TWO-MATCH BAN

Defender suspended following straight red card...

Giuseppe Bellusci will serve a two-match ban after being sent off for the second time this season in the 1-0 win over Bournemouth.

The defender was shown a straight red card with four minutes remaining at Elland Road after being adjudged to have tripped Cherries striker Callum Wilson.

A penalty was awarded for the foul but substitute Yann Kermorgant smashed over via the crossbar and United held on to secure the three points.

Bellusci will now miss our Yorkshire derby at Huddersfield on January 31 and our home game with Brentford on February 7.

The Italian centre-back, a summer signing from Catania, also has nine yellow cards to his name this season, meaning a further booking before the Cardiff home game on April 11 would result in an automatic two-match ban.
