Whites succumb to second half fight back.

Leeds United 1 (Morris 22) Chorley 2 (Wood 60, Bonner 69)

A second half comeback saw Leeds United Ladies go down to Chorley Ladies on Sunday afternoon.

It was Leeds who had the first attack of the game when Shelbey Morris saw her shot saved by the Chorley keeper, before Harriett Coles did brilliantly well to deny Chorley from long range at the other end.

Leeds took the lead midway through the first half when Rebecca Hunt saw her shot tipped onto the crossbar and Morris was in the right place at the right time to head into an unguarded net.

Hunt then tried to catch the Chorley’s goalkeeper off her line from 40 yards but she held her looping shot.

At the other Coles made a magnificent one handed save to keep Leeds ahead at the break.

Half Time: Leeds United 1-0 Chorley

It took until the hour mark for either side to have a shot on target after the break and Rachel Wood equalised for the visitors when put clean through giving Coles no chance.

Seven minutes later Chorley took the lead when Cathy Bonner slotted home.

Leeds piled on the pressure after and were unlucky when first Abby Parkin saw her shot go just over and then Hannon saw her free-kick suffer the same fate.

Beth Davies clipped the angle of both post late on, but the equaliser wouldn’t come and Chorley went home with the points.
