Leeds Women get back to winning ways with 2-1 win over Chorley

Two first half goals enough to seal the three points

Leeds United Women 2 Hunt 4, Findlay 32
Chorley Women 1 Donaghue 53

Leeds United Women bounced back from a difficult week with a hard fought win over Chorley at Thorp Arch.

It was the visitors who were first on the attack as Topping fired just wide. Leeds responded moments later and took the lead through a 25 yard drive from Rebecca Hunt that looped in over the keeper.

Chorley went straight down the other end with Vella firing just wide from a free kick. Leeds came close to doubling their advantage with both Jodie Hunter and Holly Findlay missing by inches.

Findlay did get a goal on the 32nd minute firing in from a brilliant cross from Shannon Durkin. Findlay was then denied a certain third by an outstanding save from Darbyshire.
