College strengthens partnership with Ahead in Sport.

The partnership between Leeds United College and Ahead in Sport continues to go from strength to strength, offering our students a unique opportunity to further their development within the football industry and gain fantastic qualifications including the unique and innovative online BSc (Hons) Applied Football Studies degree.

The virtual programme is a three-year long course that has been specifically designed for those who are currently, or aspiring to be, involved in the football industry.

From professional football players to those in player facing support roles, this course will be of interest to anyone who works, plays, or volunteers in football across all levels of the game and will provide a fantastic opportunity for our students, and others, aged 18 and over.

Delivered entirely online, the BSc (Hons) Applied Football Studies degree reflects the wide range of opportunities within the football industry and provides a diverse and unique programme, combining learning in key areas such as leadership, talent development and psychology with practical business skills and an understanding of the interaction across various football departments.

This is a practical course which builds on individual experiences within the game, and by following a blended learning approach learners can combine their studies with their existing football commitments or employment.

Joel Roberts, Director of Operations for Ahead in Sport, said: ‘’Its unique and innovative delivery makes this programme accessible to those students who are seeking to combine studying with their existing football commitments.

"Informed by research it reflects the ever-changing demands of the football industry and gives learners an opportunity to develop their passion for the game into a sustainable career.’’
