Leeds United College launch partnership with Eastwood CFC

Education hub launched for students in Nottingham.

Leeds United College are delighted to announce their latest partnership with Eastwood CFC which will enhance the Nottingham based Elite Player Development Scholarship.

This new and exciting partnership will allow young students the chance to develop on the pitch while also studying within a supportive and inclusive football environment with full access to the stadium at Eastwood CFC and full use of the facilities.

The Player Development Scholarship is a full-time educational programme available at both Level 2 and Level 3 which will provide youngsters in the Midlands with the opportunity to combine a first-class education alongside an elite football experience.

The link-up with Eastwood CFC will also provide a direct pathway for players to progress into non-league football.

Eastwood CFC Chairman, Jamie Bennett, said: "The team at Leeds United College come with an outstanding reputation in education and training. They also have a proven track record for producing elite talent, resulting in a number of players signing professional deals from non-league clubs.

“We are pleased that our club will be working with such a prestigious and world-renowned organisation such as Leeds United. Our club is very much looking forward to being the home of the Player Development Scholarship in this area and also providing a platform for the development of the students both on and off the pitch.”

This Scholarship programme will be supported by specialist teaching and learning staff from Leeds United College who will help to deliver the academic, vocational and employability qualifications. The course is ideally suited to young people who wish to pursue a career in the sports industry or progress on to University to study.

An Open Day with the Leeds United College will be held for students and parents, when it is possible, so you are able to gain further insight into this new course along with the opportunity to attend engagement sessions with our specialist coaching staff.

More information on the event will be released closer to the date. To secure a place or to learn more about the programme, please email sportscollegeinfo@leedsunited.com.
