Angus Kinnear inspires students at Leeds United College

Exclusive Q and A session delivered for students at Elland Road.

Angus Kinnear was the special guest at an exclusive event held for students at the Leeds United College recently.

The Q and A style event was hosted by LUTV presenter Rich Williams at Elland Road to help motivate, engage and inspire students currently undertaking a variety of courses and programmes with the College associated with the club.

Those in attendance travelled from a number of the different hubs that are currently in partnership with the Leeds United College, including those at Leeds, Derby, Alvechurch, Sheffield and Askham Bryan.

During the Q and A session, Leeds United’s CEO was on hand to offer advice and tips to the students whilst discussing the role of a Chief Executive, the importance of gaining qualifications and experience, his aspirations for the club over the next few years, the tools used to stay motivated and the best ways to overcome obstacles along with covering  a number of other topics.

Aside from having the opportunity to hear first-hand from the club’s Chief Executive about what it can be like to work in sport, students were also able to speak to tutors from all of the different campuses to ensure that any questions they had could be answered.

The Leeds United College was launched in September 2019 with the aim of delivering a variety of educational programmes, nationally, within the Sport and Performing Arts fields. The College prides itself on giving a first class learning experience that is fully inclusive to its students through a range of BTEC and Diploma courses, enabling pupils to set ambitious targets and reach their full potential.
