Leeds United College launch international partnership

Club announce link with Università Telematica Internazionale Uninettuno of Rome.

Leeds United Football Club in partnership with 5ive Global and the Università Telematica Internazionale Uninettuno of Rome have joined together to bring open and accessible education to the local and worldwide community of the club.

A full range of innovative, online and blended university degrees will be available from Bachelor to Doctoral levels through this new partnership. Areas of study will include finance, law, business, sports, marketing, data analytics, psychology and engineering. The Leeds United College will bring the university in the palm of your hand, where lectures can be accessed on-demand, in your own time and on your terms.

Maria Amata Garito Rector of Uninettuno, spoke about the partnership and said: “The creation of this project ties in with the Uninettuno mission; to allow access to education to all through new technologies. With this project fans, players and athletes of the Leeds United family will have the opportunity to be involved in an international community of learners and teachers.

"There are approximately 20 thousand students coming from 167 different countries, along with a number of selected professors coming from the best universities around the globe, involved in the project so far.

“Through this partnership students will share the UNINETTUNO’s awarded model of teaching and learning online, blended to create their future through education.”

The university located in Italy believes that education is a right and not a privilege. They believe in the power of football and education together helping to open up a world of learning to help make the world a better place. Education should be accessible, affordable, inclusive and inspiring – and these are the principles on which the innovative university were launched.

Uninettuno is an award-winning established university, situated in the very centre of Rome and hosts over 20,000 students who study online from all over the world.
