Sports College to hold trials at Derby Hub

Trial sessions to be held for youngsters interested in gaining qualifications in sports.

Leeds United Sports College will be hosting some more trial sessions for school leavers at the Derby based Sports Hub - a fantastic opportunity for gifted players to showcase their skills and ability.

All Year 12 students interested in being a part of the Leeds United Sports College, which will be based at Elland Road, and being selected for an Elite Player Development Scholarship are welcome to attend one of the two sessions being delivered by coaches associated with the college.

The youngsters in attendance will join in various sessions being delivered by DFK Limited, a company working closely with the education outfit associated with the club, the organisation includes coaches such as former Leeds United player Brian Deane and former Bradford City player Andy Kiwomya. The trials will be centred on talent identification and player pathways.

The two dates on offer for youngsters to attend, include:

Wednesday 21st August from 6pm to 8pm

Sunday 25th August from 12pm to 2pm

Venue for the trials: Moorways Stadium, Moor Lane, Derby, DE24 9HY.

Players and parents that go along to these open trials will also be given the opportunity to ask any questions and learn more about the educational framework that will be part of the full-time programme.
