Keynote speaker at business school conference

Leeds United Director of Education to deliver talk on bravery at CLUBS7 conference.

Leeds United’s Director of Education, Spencer Taylor, will be the keynote speaker at the CLUBS7 conference at the Leeds University Business School.

The event will take place tomorrow (Wednesday 20 March 2019) where alongside Spencer there will be seven other speakers, each speaking for seven minutes. The aim of the CLUBS7 project is for business students to encourage their fellow classmates to speak up, participate in currents debates and inspire one another in the process.

The decision of giving each speaker only seven minutes to deliver a talk was based on the idea that a powerful message can be conveyed concisely within this time frame, packing enough of a punch for the audience to take away a key message.

This year’s event is focused around the theme of Being Brave and how bravery can come in many different forms. Spencer will be on hand to deliver a talk around his ideas of bravery, especially in relation to working at Leeds United and in the fast-paced environment that is the football industry.

The conference will be held in the Maurice Keyworth Building of Leeds University Business School and there will be a food and drinks reception – everyone is welcome to join the event to listen to some of the inspirational speeches that will be given. The speakers are going to cover a wide variety of topics, from heartbreak to recovering from the loss of loved ones, but space will also be given to uplifting stories involving conquering fear and saying yes to embracing opportunity.

The event will also provide an opportunity for networking with members of the faculty, as well as guests from Leeds United Football Club. So, if you are interested in attending or would like more details please click here.
