Exciting new education provision available for students at Elland Road.
Leeds United Football Club is proud to announce the launch of the Leeds United Sports College which will open in September 2019.
The education provision will be delivered at Elland Road within a unique classroom environment to students both male and female from 16 to 18 years old.
The full-time, high quality education programme on offer is ideal for those who have a passion for sport and a desire to progress to either University or employment within the sports industry.
Courses will be led by a team of dedicated and highly qualified specialist tutors and coaching staff in association with DFK Limited. Some of the coaches that work with the organisation include former England international and Leeds United player Brian Deane along with current BBC Radio Leeds co-commentator Noel Whelan and former Sheffield Wednesday and Bradford City player Andy Kiwomya.
The aim of the Leeds United Sports College is to create a fully inclusive learning environment to enable all students to set ambitious targets and reach their full potential.
Spencer Taylor, Director of Education at Leeds United, spoke about the new education provision and said: “The club is really proud to announce our new Leeds United Sports College which will launch in September and is open to students to apply now – there is currently one elite player development course available with the project set to expand over the coming years.
“A team of staff have been working on this project for a while and we are thrilled to now be able to offer this exciting opportunity to youngsters interested in having a career in the sports industry.”
