Special guests welcomed at Elland Road

Club show support for charities at Arsenal match.

Leeds United are pleased to be able to welcome two charities to Elland Road on Sunday afternoon ahead of our Premier League match against Arsenal.

Volunteers from Anthony Nolan and the Restart a Heart campaign will both be in attendance at the ground, located in the East Stand, with the opportunity to meet and integrate with supporters.

You can find out more about the two ventures below:

Restart a Heart

The club have teamed up with Yorkshire Ambulance Service once again to encourage fans to learn life-saving cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) as part of the annual Restart a Heart Campaign.

Anyone can be affected by a sudden cardiac arrest at any time, and without intervention, the person will not live. When someone collapses and stops breathing normally, it is important to quickly call 999, perform CPR and use a defibrillator to give the patient the best chance of survival.

Supporters will be given the opportunity to learn CPR from ambulance staff at the match from various volunteers, so make sure you look out for them. If you would like to find out how you can learn CPR, click here: https://restartaheart.yas.nhs.uk/.

The Restart a Heart campaign is supported by the Yorkshire Ambulance Service Charity. Find out more at: https://www.yascharity.org.uk/.

Anthony Nolan

The club recently shared the story of a young female who is suffering with Acute Myeloid Leukaemia and in order to survive she needs to find a stem cell donor as soon as possible.

Emily, who recently turned 21, was originally diagnosed in October 2021, and after receiving the all-clear earlier this year she was given the devastating news that the cancer had returned not long after.

Volunteers from Anthony Nolan will be in attendance to inform supporters how they can join the stem cell register to see if we are able to find a match for Emily. It takes a matter of minutes, and you will even be able to do the quick mouth swab in person if you would like to.
