The Foundation, a registered charity with its own Board of Trustees is the official charity for the Leeds United Football Club (LUFC). The Foundation uses the power of football to transform lives by educating, motivating, inspiring and supporting everyone throughout the Leeds community, particularly from areas of disadvantage.

The Foundation offers a wide range of programmes which are all designed to improve physical health, mental health or the wellbeing of everyone, providing educational opportunities and increasing the opportunities for all people to play football. 

Supporting over 20,000 participants each year through over 25 programme types which deliver 7 days a week.

ABOUT THE ROLES

We are looking for experienced Trustees to join our Board in addition to a number of Trustee Designates who may not have governance experience but can provide skill or expertise in a particular area to support the Board and its sub-committees and are keen to progress to become a Trustee. The roles are unremunerated although reasonable travelling expenses can be paid.

The Board meets four or five times a year and Trustees and Trustee Designates may also serve on sub-committees appropriate to their skills, experience or for development, and to attend other events as and when appropriate to help support the work of the Foundation.

We welcome and encourage applications from people from all communities and backgrounds as we recognise that a diverse Board is beneficial for the organisation and the communities it serves.

We particularly need to strengthen the skills mix of the Board in the following areas of expertise –. Community representation, equality, diversity and inclusion, environmental sustainability, education – in particular primary & secondary schools, fundraising and grant bidding.
