Foundation announce next Coaches Club event

Held at Elland Road on 30th June.

The Leeds United Foundation are pleased to announce the date of the next Coaches Club event which will be held on Thursday 30th June.

This will be the sixth event to be held at Elland Road, with each Coaches Club event tailored to a specific area of the Foundation, and this time round the focus is on Participation and the Premier League Primary Stars programme.

For any local coaches that are interested in attending and finding out more information around each area, this is the perfect opportunity to speak with staff from the club's official charity face-to-face, enabling you to ask questions and find out if you would be interested in any career opportunities.

The Participation programme covers a wide-range of inclusive initiatives for young children within the local community to take part in. The main aim for this pillar is to offer opportunities for youngsters to develop their skills, participate in physical activity and maintain a healthy lifestyle. This area also covers school holiday programmes such as Soccer Schools and multisport camps as well as supporting local grassroot teams with fundraising and coaching opportunities.

The Premier League Primary Stars initiative is centred around inspiring young pupils and through the power of sport encouraging children to stay engaged in their education. This programme is about increasing enjoyment, whilst teaching and developing the youth of today, ensuring they have a well-rounded school experience that includes specialist areas such as understanding the importance of celebrating equality, diversity and inclusion.

The event will take place in the Eddie Gray Suite at Elland Road on Thursday 30th June. The arrival time is set for 6pm and the event will then kick-off at around 6.15pm.
