Club backs Yorkshire Cancer Research ahead of World Cancer Day

Players to show support during Newcastle fixture.

Leeds United is joining with official charity partner Yorkshire Cancer Research to mark World Cancer Day (February 4th) and pay tribute to supporters in Yorkshire and across the world who are affected by cancer.

First team players will show their support ahead of the annual campaign by wearing Yorkshire Cancer Research t-shirts during their warm-up for the match against Newcastle on Saturday, to show that we’re all Marching On Cancer. Together.

From getting involved in Challenge90 - a weekly 90-minute exercise challenge - to making a donation, volunteering and talking to friends and family, there are many ways that the Leeds community can support Yorkshire Cancer Research and the world-leading research they fund this World Cancer Day.

As the official charity partner of Leeds United for the 2021/22 season, Yorkshire Cancer Research is working with the club to raise awareness of cancer risk factors, symptoms and screening, and to celebrate the vital research that is taking place across the region.

The charity is dedicated to funding world-leading research to prevent, diagnose and treat cancer. For more information about the charity and partnership with Leeds United, please visit ycr.org.uk/lufc.
