Fundraising for former Leeds United Women's player.

Former Leeds United Women’s player Stacey Daniels and her family are calling on the support of the Leeds United fanbase as she battles with Relapsing Remitting Multiple Sclerosis (RRMS).

During her time with Leeds United, Stacey was voted FAWPL Young Player of the Year and was part of the team that won promotion to the FA Women’s Premier League National Division in 2001.

Three years ago, Stacey was given the life-altering news that she had RRMS, which is a chronic and progressive neurological auto-immune disease that affects your central nervous system. Since then, she has had to adapt to an incredibly difficult way of life with the disease progressing rapidly, and she now faces the possibility of losing all independence and life in a wheelchair.

Stacey and her loved ones are now looking to raise £50,000 for life-changing treatment, this will include travelling to Mexico to undergo a 30-day in-patient Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation (HSCT), with the hopes of beating her diagnosis for good.

For more information on the day-to-day struggles Stacey is facing with regards to how her RRMS is affecting her body and abilities, please click here. You can also show your support by making a personal donation to the JustGiving page, where possible.

The club will be hosting an online auction later this month to help raise further funds to support Stacey in her battle.
