Female Education Programme to host open evening

Female Education Programme to host open evening

Event to take place Tuesday 30th November with Foundation.

The Leeds United Foundation will be hosting a special event to recruit youngsters interested in joining the female education programme for 2022/23 on Tuesday 30th November.

The female education programme forms part of the female pathway within the club’s official charity, offering young girls the chance to combine their studies with playing football, developing their skills and taking part in competitive fixtures.

The Leeds United Foundation will be partnering with Leeds Sports Connect to create an exclusive link between professional sports clubs, local colleges, and you. This will give young females the opportunity to be part of a sports academy that offers quality education and quality training – where students don’t have to choose one over the other.

Through the programme, you will be able to continue your development in football whilst also studying at Leeds City College or Leeds Sixth Form College. The courses are specially built around training schedules, and you’ll be learning all the key skills that you can also utilise on the pitch.

The open evening for the programme will be held on Tuesday 30th November, from 6pm to 8pm, at Headingly Stadium, and this event will be used to launch the Leeds Sports Connect partnership.

For those in attendance, there will be a welcome reception followed by a presentation that will be delivered by staff from the Foundation and Leeds City College. Included in the presentation will be an outline on what Leeds City College can offer with regards to educational prospects and support, along with specific information on the female education programme for 2022, involving training routines, league structures and trial and taster dates. There will also be a Q and A session held at the end of the evening with the chance for you to speak with coaches.
