Over 300 youngsters take part in Soccer Camps initiative

Foundation deliver successful Soccer Camps during June half-term.

The Leeds United Foundation played host to over 300 young participants during their recent Soccer Schools programme at the beginning of June with places now filling up for the Summer holiday camps.

Coaches from the club’s official charity delivered a number of camps over half-term with Leeds United star Patrick Bamford even making a special appearance at Beeston Juniors Football Club as part of a renovation project with official partner JD Sports.

Spaces are now being booked for the Summer programme as the Foundation launch an exclusive ‘United on Tour’ initiative, which will involve partnering with a number of different grassroots football clubs in the local community, raising money for both the Foundation and the grassroots teams.

The programme will run from Monday 2nd August to Friday 3rd September, with the sessions being delivered daily from 9am to 3pm across a number of different locations. Each camp will be capped at a maximum of 50 players, with the sessions open to youngsters aged from five to 12. The cost per day is £20 for each individual.

The ‘United on Tour’ programme was recently trialed with a club based in Harrogate, with 143 participants in attendance across the week and over £700 raised for the grassroots organisation.
