Local youngster delivers verdict on Leeds United match

Beeston Primary School student works with club on match report.

A young student from Beeston Primary School, located in the shadows of Elland Road, has been working closely with the club to create his very own match report.

The youngster was one of the eleven pupils that was able to experience being a virtual mascot for Leeds United when Patrick Bamford walked out with him and 10 others ahead of the Southampton fixture on an iPad. Following the experience the club were able to learn more about one of the students, named Lennon, and his love for the club - often taking the time to write his own match previews and reports as a hobby.

Ahead of the recent Chelsea fixture to help support Lennon and reward him for his hard work the club worked personally with the young student to offer tips and advice ahead of kick-off, during half-time and post match.

Lennon has produced a fantastic match report following the 0-0 draw and the club would like to praise him for his hard work and offer supporters the chance to read his work.

The report opens with a brief preview to the two teams and their recent form, before getting into the match action, here's an extract:

"The two teams started the game pressing with intensity but neither team stood out as being the superior team. Chelsea had an overload in midfield as they were playing with two attacking midfielders. Leeds and Jack Harrison in particular were pressing high on the Chelsea defence making it hard for the back three..."
