Soccercise sessions available online with Leeds United Foundation

Weekly online exercise classes to begin February 16.

The Leeds United Foundation are hosting weekly Soccercise sessions online as part of a six-week exercise programme that is suitable for all levels of ability.

The initiative is open to anyone over the age of 18 and the six-week course will begin on Tuesday 16th February, with the sessions then taking place every Tuesday on Zoom from 5-6pm in the evening.

Soccercise combines a variety of fitness exercises with football to create a fun way for you to stay active. Whether you're a beginner looking for a different style of work out, or if you are more advanced and looking for a challenge, Soccercise may be for you – and it can all be done from the comfort of your home and can also be done with or without a football.

Classes are adaptable for each individual, with each exercise having easier and harder alternatives, so the club’s official charity are hoping to encourage supporters of all ages to sign up – you can tell your friends and family members to sign up too and they will be taking part in the same online classes with you.

A previous participant of the Soccercise initiative, said: "Soccercise is a great way to get exercise into your day and the group of people attending each session I did supported and encouraged one another. We all had different abilities and that was okay as we just did the best we could and then pushed ourselves a little more each week.

“It scared me a little bit at first, as this was something new, but with the support of the coaches I really enjoyed the exercises and the fun we had doing them. The difference in my ability changed week by week. It really is a great programme to get fit and have fun at the same time."

Supporters can take part in the programme by booking online, with limited spaces available, and it is just £18 for the full six weeks.
