Fixture dedicated to No Room For Racism Campaign

Wolves match dedicated to Premier League anti-racism initiative.

Leeds United welcome Wolverhampton Wanderers to Elland Road tonight and the fixture is being dedicated to the No Room For Racism initiative, which was launched by the Premier League earlier this year.

The campaign, now in its next phase, sends a strong message that the League and its clubs will not tolerate racist behaviour anywhere and fans are being urged to challenge and report racism wherever it takes place.

In the lead up to of kick-off a new video produced by the Premier League, featuring Leeds United and England star Kalvin Phillips along with Tyrone Mings, Michail Antonio, Conor Coady and Ben Mee, will be shown on the big screen which calls on supporters to 'Challenge it, report it, change it.'

There will also be a range of No Room For Racism branding around the stadium, with a special ball plinth being used ahead of kick-off, a branded backdrop in place  for the line-up and pin badges to be worn by all players and backroom staff. This activity is being used to highlight the League and clubs’ year-round commitment to combatting discrimination and promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion across all areas of football.

As part of its long-term commitment to address racism in football and the wider society, the League is also launching a series of new educational resources featuring Leeds United's Tyler Roberts. The resources will involve a number of players discussing their own experiences of discrimination, the impact it has had on them and their team-mates and how we all have a responsibility to tackle racism.

These free teaching materials are designed to help stimulate discussion in classrooms and will be available to more than 18,000 primary schools in England and Wales through Premier League Primary Stars. The resources will also be made available via the Premier League Kicks and Inspires programmes.

The Leeds United Foundation will be using these resources in the various schools they work in around the city, delivering exclusive workshops to promote equality, diversity and inclusion (EDI) with the help of our first-team squad.
