Show Racism The Red Card celebrate annual event

Support for the UK's largest anti-racism educational charity.

Show Racism the Red Card (SRtRC) are marking their annual Wear Red Day that takes place every October to encourage people to help fund anti-racism education for youngsters and adults across the UK.

The educational charity, one of the largest in the UK for anti-racism, was established back in 1996 and is celebrating its 6th annual Wear Red Day across England, Wales and Scotland.

The national day of action is centred around engaging with businesses, schools and individuals to help educate people on the subject of racism, challenge views and opinions and encourage people to donate just £1 to their campaign to help them continue their work.

To this day SRtRC continues to utilise the high-profile status of football and football players to help tackle racism in society. The majority of the campaign’s work involves the delivery of educational workshops to young people and adults in schools, workplaces and at events held in football stadiums. Across the UK, SRtRC provides educational sessions to more than 50,000 individuals per year. In addition to the direct education of young people and adults, SRtRC produces educational resources to challenge misconceptions, stereotypes and negative attitudes in society.

Every penny raised during the annual event enables Show Racism the Red Card’s education and campaign workers to work with more young people and adults across the UK to challenge racism in our society.
