1,200 youngsters join Summer Soccer Camps

Leeds United Foundation Summer Soccer Camp Success.

Over 1,200 local youngsters recently took part in the Leeds United Foundation Summer Soccer Camps programme across 22 different venues.

The successful Soccer Schools were delivered by a number of coaches from the club’s official charity, with the health and safety of each child at the forefront during the challenging times of COVID-19.

The Foundation worked hard to provide the Summer camps this year to help support parents and families who required a fun, safe, friendly, and active environment for their children.

A parent of one of the participants, said: “The camps have been absolutely brilliant. The girls and I had been at home since March and so they could not wait for these camps. I was really happy with how safe and fun the camps were and couldn’t recommend them enough.”

With the October half-term just around the corner, there will be two Soccer Schools on offer for kids for four days a week. The sessions are open to all youngsters aged from five to 12 years, regardless of experience or skill level. With boys, girls and mixed classes all available.

All sessions will adhere to safety guidelines and be delivered by FA-qualified coaches who are also DBS-checked and trained in emergency first aid and safeguarding children. The venues available for October are Grammar School of Leeds (LS17 8GS) and King James School (HG5 8EB) running from 9am to 3pm from Monday to Thursday.
