Foundation to host Club Colours Week

Premier League Primary Stars team to host exciting week of activities with local schools.

The Leeds United Foundation are hosting a special Leeds United Club Colours Week as part of their work with the Premier League Primary Stars programme (PLPS).

With local schools back in action and to help celebrate the club’s promotion to the Premier League the PLPS coaches have organised a fun and exciting way to raise vital funds for the club’s official charity as well as participating schools.

The campaign will begin on Monday 28th September with schools able to pick any day as a sponsored non-uniform day. For each primary school taking part, they can set a participation amount for every pupil or encourage children to raise as much money as they can – with the highest fundraiser in each year group receiving a special certificate of achievement.

Leeds United Foundation coaches will be on hand to support schools with any activities they want to run as part of the campaign with exclusive offers also up for grabs as part of a prize draw that will take place ahead of next week, including the chance to receive a visit from local children’s author, Tom Palmer, and local artist, Burley Bansky - both avid Leeds United supporters.

Every school involved will also receive a fundraising pack, certificate template and awards pack as well as health and wellbeing resources. A member of staff from the Foundation will also visit each school to deliver a framed certificate of participation as a thank you.

All of the funds raised from the Club Colour Days will be split 50/50 between the charity and participating school and for any further questions on the scheme, including any schools that would like to take part, please email Mathew.Everett@leedsunited.com for more information.
