Special memories with Children\'s Heart Surgery Fund: Part One

Leeds United have worked closely with Children's Heart Surgery Fund over the last two seasons helping to raise awareness around the organisation and creating special memories for young patients and families.

The local charity provide life-saving medical equipment for the Leeds Congenital Heart Unit, parent accommodation for families of their young patients and vital ward resources.

They are wholly funded by donations from the public and it is through donations they have been able to support and help care for over 22,500 babies, children and adults living with congenital heart disease, every year.

Throughout the last two seasons all of the first-team players at the club have been involved in helping to create memories through a number of special visits to give families support during some of their hardest times, just by taking their mind of their child being unwell for a short period of time or making them smile during a conversation.

The visits have been varied with most of them taking place at Leeds Children's Hospital, either at the Congenital Heart Unit or the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit, spending time meeting families and young patients, handing out gifts and having photos taken whilst also chatting with the NHS staff that are based on the wards and finding out more about the fantastic work that they do.

Take a look at a selection of photos from those visits below.
