Learn all about the Premier League Primary Stars programme.

The Leeds United Foundation currently partner with 102 primary schools across the city as part of the Premier League Primary Stars programme.

The work the coaches do from the club's official charity is extremely varied, delivering sessions to different age groups with the main aim of improving engagement levels of young students in their education and helping them to stay motivated to reach their full potential and achieve their goals.

Premier League Primary Stars uses the power of sport and the appeal of professional football clubs to inspire children to learn, stay active and develop important life skills.

Coaches deliver sessions Monday to Friday in schools, covering a number of different key areas including; supporting PE lessons, English and Maths engagement, involving students in social action projects, offering targeted interventions for individuals that require further support and hosting extra-curricular provision for girls, boys and mixed groups.

As part of the nationwide programme the coaches also deliver teacher workshops and education activations as well as being able to host collapsed curricular days, school sports days, fundraising activities and inclusive festivals.

As well as the qualified staff providing support in schools for teachers and pupils, the programme also provides free, flexible and easy-to-use curriculum ideas online which is perfect for families’ homeschooling during the coronavirus pandemic.

Coaches from the Leeds United Foundation will be providing a series of educational challenges for young supporters to do at home over the next few weeks, so keep an eye out on our official social media channels.
