Special guests welcomed on Boxing Day

Youngsters from Parklands Primary and Leeds Women's Aid in attendance.

Leeds United welcomed a number of special guests to the Boxing Day fixture at Elland Road against Preston North End on Thursday in the form of youngsters from Parklands Primary School and women and families currently staying with Leeds Women’s Aid.

Chairman Andrea Radrizzani wanted to give local young children who would usually not have the opportunity of attending a Championship football match due to various difficult circumstances, the chance to do so in the best way possible, making room for all of them to sit in the Director’s Box to ensure they had the best seats and best experience possible.

All of the guests in attendance were offered travel to get them to the stadium, treated to hospitality in the South Stand boxes ahead of kick-off, gifted with Leeds United t-shirts and anthem jackets and then taken to the Director’s Box to watch the game and enjoy the rest of the day in style.

Many of the youngsters from Parklands Primary School were from underprivileged families that don’t often have the chance to enjoy special experiences and the women and families from Leeds Women’s Aid were invited through the club’s relationship with local charity Cash for Kids.

Leeds Women’s Aid aims to protect women and families from the damage that domestic violence and abuse can inflict on their lives. For more information you can click here.

We hope all of the guests in attendance enjoyed their exclusive day out at Elland Road.
