Foundation gift presents for Mission Christmas

Youngsters from Foundation programme donate gifts to less fortunate children.

The Leeds United Foundation have joined the campaign to support Cash for Kids with their Mission Christmas project to help ensure every child in Leeds has a Christmas present to open on 25th December.

Young girls from one of the Foundation's young football programmes have all donated a gift each that will now be given to families who cannot afford to purchase their own presents for Christmas this year.

Mission Christmas is the annual campaign delivered by the children's charity across the UK to encourage people to donate gits or money during the festive period to make sure all youngsters have something to open on Christmas morning. One in three children living in Leeds are currently living in poverty and there are around 18,000 children in our city that are set to be without a present to open on Christmas Day this year.

The club and it's official charity, with the support of the first-team players, are backing the campaign with gift and monetary donations whilst also offering fans the opportunity to donate and drop-off their own gifts at Elland Road - with the last day to donate gifts on Tuesday 17th December.

If you would like to drop off a gift, which can be for girls or boys aged from babies up to 18-year-olds, then please do so at the East Stand Reception during working hours. Alternatively you can drop off gifts at The Store Room, Millshaw up until 9pm tomorrow evening.

Cash for Kids responds to the needs of children in local communities so they can live life to the full and achieve their individual potential. Every year the charity raises millions of pounds for young people who are suffering from abuse or neglect, who are disabled and have special needs or who simply need extra care or guidance.

In 2018 over £21.4 million was raised by the charity, helping to support more than one million children across the UK.

If you are able to support their Mission Christmas campaign, please donate a gift where possible and together we can help make sure every child in Leeds has at least one present to open this Christmas.
