Club lend support to Mission Christmas campaign

Gift drop-off points located at Elland Road on Saturday.

Leeds United are throwing their support behind the Cash for Kids Mission Christmas campaign to help ensure every child in Leeds has a Christmas present to open on 25th December.

Mission Christmas is an annual campaign delivered by the children's charity across the UK to encourage people to donate gits or money during the festive period to make sure all youngsters have something to open on Christmas morning. One in three children living in Leeds are currently living in poverty and there are around 18,000 children in our city that are set to be without a present to open on Christmas Day this year.

The club, with the support of the first-team players, are backing the campaign with gift and monetary donations whilst also offering fans the opportunity to donate and drop-off their own gifts at Elland Road on Saturday 14th December ahead of the Sky Bet Championship game against Cardiff City.

There will be two drop-off locations for those supporters who are able to bring gifts ahead of kick-off, with stewards on hand at both the East Stand Reception and West Stand Reception to receive and store the gifts. Please note if the gift is wrapped or in a box they may ask you for a description of what is inside.

Cash for Kids responds to the needs of children in local communities so they can live life to the full and achieve their individual potential. Every year the charity raises millions of pounds for young people who are suffering from abuse or neglect, who are disabled and have special needs or who simply need extra care or guidance.

In 2018 over £21.4 million was raised by the charity, helping to support more than one million children across the UK.

If you are able to support their Mission Christmas campaign, please bring a gift along on Saturday and together we can help make sure every child in Leeds has at least one present to open this Christmas.
