Kiko Casilla grants special Christmas wish

Christmas comes early for young Leeds United supporter.

Christmas came early for young Leeds United supporter Miley on Monday afternoon when she received a special visit from her favourite player Kiko Casilla.

The Leeds United goalkeeper was on hand at the official Leeds United retail store based at the stadium after training, to meet with the youngster and help grant one of the wishes she had included in a letter to Santa for Christmas this year - her very own Kiko Casilla football kit.

Claire, who is mum to Miley, posted the letter - which had been handwritten by her young daughter - on to a Leeds United fan account on Facebook and through the power of social media Kiko was made aware of the Christmas wish and wanted to ensure he could make it come true.

Inviting them down to the stadium, the 33-year-old keeper met with Miley and her family inside the Elland Road shop and gifted her a full goalkeeping kit with 'Casilla 13' inscribed on the back.

The former Real Madrid player also spent time chatting with the family, signing autographs and having photos with them.

Casilla spoke to LUTV during the visit and said: "I am so happy to be here and meet Miley, if I can do something to make children happy I'm always keen to assist, especially if they have a dream it's a great thing to do.

"I know that Leeds has a fantastic following, including generations of fans that encourage their children to also become Leeds fans. For me I'm proud to be here and to meet the young fans."

Eight-year-old Miley, added: "I wrote the letter to Santa because I really wanted the same kit as Kiko, he's my favourite player because he makes lots of saves and blocks the goal really well. When I'm watching him play he is teaching me how to be a better football player, especially when I am in goal."
