Showcasing the work of Kick It Out

Recap on activities to raise awareness of Kick It Out.

Leeds United celebrated the work of Kick It Out over the last week, helping to raise awareness around the work the organisation are doing to try and kick racism and discrimination out of football.

The club worked closely with Hugh Gaitskell Primary School, one of the most diverse schools currently based in Leeds, on the #KickItOutGeneration campaign with a special player visit ahead of the Derby County fixture and some of the young students were then invited to enjoy the game itself on Saturday afternoon.

Kick It Out delivered an exclusive workshop with the support of the Leeds United Foundation to the pupils in Year 5 and 6 to help educate them on different forms of discrimination, how to identify it and how best to deal with difficult situations surrounding the subject and the students who attended the game where then able to see how the club were showcasing the Kick It Out brand throughout the day.

The matchday showcase included activity with the first-team and children from Hugh Gaitskell ahead of kick-off, branded t-shirts for both teams for the warm-up, a special appearance from Lucas the Kop Cat in a Kick It Out tee, matchday announcements, coverage in the match programme and plenty more.

Take a look below at some of the photos from the various activity that took place throughout the week.
