Disability programme make generous donation

Leeds United Foundation support disability scheme at Upper Batley High School.

Leeds United Foundation's Disability programme recently donated a number of pieces of football equipment to support Upper Batley High School with an upcoming trip to Pakistan.

The local school based in Batley got in touch with the disability arm of the club's official charity regarding a trip they are planning to Pakistan to visit a special school and deliver STEM (Science, Technology, English and Maths) and sports sessions.

The sessions they will be delivering during the trip will be for children suffering with a range of disabilities such as those with hearing problems, visual impairments, cerebral palsy and many more as well as youngsters struggling with mental health issues.

Mr Ibrar Hussain (pictured) is a teacher at Upper Batley High School and will be making the trip early next year with two of his colleagues and eight students, who will all be there to help supports these children who require extra support in school.

The Leeds United Foundation wanted to help in any way they could with the educational excursion and so donated a range of footballs, bibs and cones to help with the delivery of the sports sessions during their visit.

If anyone else would like to make a donation of equipment to help the school with their trip to Pakistan, please contact Upper Batley High School here.
