Charity match raises awareness for local charities

Celebrity football match hosted at Elland Road on behalf of two local charities.

Over 1,000 supporters were at Elland Road on Sunday afternoon to help support two fantastic local charities - Children's Heart Surgery Fund and Leeds Mind.

Sellebrity Soccer, an organisation that manages large-scale football matches across England in aid of various charitable organisations, hosted a match at the Whites ground with a number of different celebrities taking part to help raise awareness and funds for the two charities of their choice.

The club's official charity that support babies and youngsters with congenital heart disease and the local arm of the mental health charity, Mind, were both represented on the day and able to invite special guests to the match to enjoy a VIP experience, meeting all of the celebrities for photos and autographs and some of them were even able to walk out as mascots ahead of kick-off.

Lucas the Kop Cat was also in attendance to represent Leeds United at the stadium, the mascot had lots of photos with the youngsters there and even walked out with the teams.
