Young fan given the chance to meet his favourite player during visit to Elland Road.

Avid Leeds United supporter Taylor finally got the chance to meet his footballing hero Pablo Hernandez ahead of the Sky Bet Championship fixture against Wigan Athletic on Friday.

The youngster who has Down syndrome comes from a family of Manchester United fans but thanks to the relationship with his brother-in-law has developed a deep love for Leeds United Football Club over the years.

Earlier this year, Taylor celebrated World Book Day by dressing up as his favourite Whites player Hernandez and taking the 2018/19 Leeds United handbook into school with him.

Photos of him dressed in his home kit on the day were shared on social media by brother-in-law Ashly and thanks to the response of the loyal Leeds United fanbase the opportunity for him to meet his hero was made possible.

Taylor was invited to attend the match and he was given the chance to see inside the Elland Road tunnel and walk out onto the hallowed pitch after arriving early ahead of kick-off on Friday afternoon.. He then met with Pablo and the rest of the first-team players by the side of the pitch - having photos with them all and giving them messages of encouragement about the fantastic season they've had.

Ashly Elders, brother-in-law to Taylor, said: "Today was just brilliant and Taylor really enjoyed himself, despite the result, so a big thank you to those who made it all possible for him. MOT."
